Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 8, 2026
Keeply holds your receipts, medical statements and invoices. Those documents carry the last four digits of your card, what you bought, and sometimes what you were treated for. We would rather be plain about where they go than bury it in legalese.
1. Who we are
Keeply (the "App") is operated by Moro AI ("we", "us", "our"). This policy covers the App and this website. By using the App you agree to what is described here.
2. What we collect
Documents you scan
When you scan or import a document we keep the image and the information read from it: merchant or provider name, date, amounts, payment method, category, document type, line items, tags, any deadline printed on it, type-specific fields (such as a claim number or an odometer reading), the recognised text, and anything you type in yourself.
Account information
You can use Keeply without signing in. In that case we create a guest account identified by a random identifier generated on your device and stored in the iOS Keychain — it is not your Apple ID, your phone number or your advertising identifier. If you choose Sign in with Apple, we additionally store the account identifier Apple gives us and, if you share it, your email address.
Subscription information
If you subscribe, Apple sends us the transaction identifiers, product identifier, expiry date and whether the purchase was made in the sandbox or production environment. We never see your card number, billing address or Apple ID password — payment is handled entirely by Apple.
What we do not collect
- No bank or card account linking. Keeply never connects to your financial accounts.
- No contacts, no location, no microphone, no health data.
- No advertising identifiers and no cross-app or cross-site tracking.
3. Where your documents are processed
The first pass over every document runs on your iPhone, using Apple's on-device Vision text recognition. Nothing has to leave the phone for the App to read a receipt.
To improve accuracy, the App may also send the document image to our servers, which pass it to Google's Gemini API to extract the structured fields. Google acts as our processor for that request. If that service is unavailable or returns nothing usable, the App falls back to the on-device reader so you can still save the document.
The extracted values are always checked by our own code before they are used — amounts, dates and categories are validated rather than trusted. The model never decides what gets stored, what you are charged, or what your subscription allows.
4. Cloud backup
So that your records survive a lost or replaced phone, the App synchronises them to your Keeply account: the record fields listed in section 2, and the document images themselves, which are stored in our cloud object storage under unique, unguessable identifiers.
Records are associated with your account identifier. We do not build advertising or marketing profiles from them, and we do not use the contents of your documents to train machine-learning models.
5. Third-party services
- Apple — Sign in with Apple (optional), App Store subscription handling and receipt verification, and push/local notification delivery. Apple's own privacy policy applies to what Apple holds.
- Google (Gemini API) — processes document images sent for extraction, on our instructions, to return structured fields.
- Amazon Web Services and Cloudflare — host our servers and store document images.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
6. How long we keep things
Your records and document images are kept for as long as your account exists, because the whole point of Keeply is that a receipt is still there years later. We do not expire your data on a schedule.
Server logs, which contain request metadata rather than document contents, are rotated and deleted on a short cycle.
7. Deleting your data
On your device. Settings → Delete all data removes every record and document image stored locally on that iPhone.
Your account. Settings → Delete account immediately disables the account: it can no longer be signed into and the App stops syncing to it.
Full erasure. To have the records and document images held on our servers permanently erased, email [email protected] from the address associated with your account, or include the user ID shown in Settings. We will confirm and complete the erasure within 30 days. Some information may be retained where the law requires it, such as records of a purchase for tax purposes.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, export or erase the personal information we hold, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to complain to a data protection authority.
You can exercise access yourself at any time: every record is visible in the App, and each one can be downloaded as a PDF from its own page. For a copy of everything at once, or for correction or erasure requests, write to [email protected] and we will send it.
California residents: we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA/CPRA, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
9. Security
Traffic between the App and our servers uses HTTPS. Access to production systems is limited to people who need it. Document images are stored under unique, unguessable identifiers.
No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise. If a breach affects your information we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.
10. Children
Keeply is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us with data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. International transfers
We operate from and store data on servers located in the United States. If you use Keeply from elsewhere, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your country.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change what we collect or how we use it, we will update this page and the date at the top. Material changes will be surfaced in the App before they take effect.
13. Contact
Questions, requests or complaints: [email protected]. We read every message.
